a. Optical and electrical properties of solids: absorption and emission spectroscopy, excitons, photoconductivity. Laser spectroscopy of solids.

            b. Optical investigations on transient high density plasma: measurements of  plasma refractivity  in the nano - second  time  scale  by multiframe laser interferometry, Schlieren  and  shadowgraph  techniques.

c. Optical and electrical properties of nanostructured materials (carbon nanotubes, fullerenes,   composites conducting polymers / carbon nanotubes, fullerenes

 

AWARDS:  Prize for Physics, "Dragomir Hurmuzescu", of the Romanian Academy (for the group of papers Luminescence studies in the real time and surface enhanced Raman scattering) (1997)
