  • Preparation of oxide glasses doped with rare-earth pair, semiconductor-rare earth pair, etc. having good stability and higher transmittance in UV and visible region. (Chinese partner)

  • Optical characterization of the glass samples by luminescent spectra, fluorescence lifetime and quantum efficiency. (Romanian partner)

Stage II
  • Optimization of experimental conditions, such as the type and concentration of the doped activators and sensitizer, the thermal-treating temperature and time, etc.. (Chinese partner)

  • Analyzing the mechanism involved in the luminescent process such as quantum cutting and energy transfer to enrich the theory of down-conversion luminescence.(Chinese and Romanian partners)

  • Application of the prepared glass as upper layers on the silicon solar cell to investigate the function of efficiency enhancement. (Chinese and Romanian partners)
